Small Worlds is a brand new 3D virtual world opening in beta on June 2, sign up now for your beta registration. The unique thing about Small Worlds is that you can integrate your YouTube and Flickr account into your virtual world. Watch videos and share photos with other virtual people right from your virtual living room.



When you place a TV in your Small Worlds room you and your friends can watch YouTube videos together. Hang up posters around your room that feature your Flickr photos. Add in Twitter message boards to help you keep in touch with your friends. Play music on your virtual stereo with music from Last.fm and SeeqPod. If your friend's not home, leave them a message on their message board.

When they open commercially in August they'll offer a premium account for $5.95, but you can get the basic site for free. I love the way you can add photos of your family to the walls and add music to your room. It's going to be really fun to sit and watch videos with your online friends too. I can't wait, just a few more days.
