Michael Robertson is best known for creating mp3.com and Lindows(now Linspire), the infamous Linux operating system that was meant to be able to run windows software. Besides these two flagships, he was involved in the release of sipphone, a linux client for voip telephony, and, now mr. Robertson is back : He is readying the release of AjaxOS. AjaxOS is a combination between an operating system and AJAX. The operating system is Linspire. One if the benefits of this operating system is the fact that web-based software applications are included. That is puzzling to me. AJAX has been developed with the idea in mind that any user on any operating system could run software without installing anything. So how are web-based applications installed on my computer I wonder ? We'll await the official release and review it.
