paidContent.org reported today that the well known travel site, Lonely Planet, is going to start paying amateur travel writers for their opinions published at the Lonely Planet site.

The publisher wants to republish their content and, in exchange, will share revenue from various sources and promote traffic to their sites. The revenue-sharing scheme, codenamed BlogSherpa, will begin in February.The BBC bought Lonely Planet last year.
