Bitnami powers cross platform installation

Open Source has been underworld material for a long time, as bigger companies refused to start using it, mostly because open source software is often not supported by a major company like IBM or SUN. To be exact, that used to be the situation. These days things are much different, and even certain versions of operating systems of IBM and SUN are in fact open source. Companies start using open source software more and more and we all benefit from this.
Installation could in some cases be a reason for people to hesitate, and that's where Bitnami comes in. Bitnami has created crossplaftorm wizards for several wellknown open source packages, enabling enyone with a simple way of installing their favorite open source software on any system.
The packages, called stacks offer several advantages, such as complete independence of existing software on the target system, which sounds familiar to apple users or heavy dotnet framework users, but is still a dream to come true for a lot of other people (think about the dll hell).
The list of applications that can be installed using bitnami stacks is impressive and ever-growing. I suggest you give it a try. Go to Bitnami's website and check out what the site might have to offer for you!
