Blogger unveils new beta
Filed in archive Newsdesk 2.0 by S.M. Schrama on August 15, 2006

Blogger finally gets an update and stops being neglected. That's interesting as they are the biggest or at least one of the biggest. In the current version of blogger, you need a (seperate) account to log in, but the new beta lets you enter with your Google account. Well done ! The new beta looks promising and some things have been improved :
- Dynamic Serving
The biggest change of all is perhaps the least immediately visible, but it affects the entire underlying structure of Blog*Spot.
- Access Control
If your blog is relatively private, you can choose who you want to be able to view it, and restrict access to everyone else.
- Labels
Organize your posts with labels to add an extra dimension to your blog.
- More Site Feed Options
We've added several new options to your site feed settings.
- Improved Dashboard
We've made some tweaks to your dashboard, to make things a bit more convenient for you.
- Google Accounts
Your account won't just be a Blogger account any longer, but a full-fledged Google Account, with all the extra security and convenience that provides.
I have to say that it looks promising. I've always had a blogger account, but just to check out functionality. And I certainly will test out the new functionality.

has a good post about it here.
