An online advertisement program working with Amazon, comparable in some ways to Google's ads has been setup : Bloggerkit.
Displaying content-related Amazon products is a reader-friendly way to monetize your blogs.
The sign-up procedure is plain and simple ans should not hold you back. As with Google and (e.g.) eMinimalls, it will produce some code that you put into your website and off you go. The biggest difference with Google is this : Google's ads will show any (more or less) related ads on your site, where Amazon will show related products that are for sale. It looks like an interesting alternative and I will surely check it out soon.

I dont think they are associated with Amazon at all, according the Techcrunch.
Bloggerkit are created by two Chinese living in Boston area.

You are correct there : they’re not assiciated with Amazon, but they work together with Amazon. Mistake from my side.
