Not so long ago I was referred to a new service for bloggers. Having opened a small blog network not so long ago, I was interested. The service consists of statistics and a widget. The widget shows links to other blog articles that use the service too, the statistics are used to calculate impressions and earn credits that will buy you your own impressions on other blogs, creating traffic.
Unfortunately, the service isn't much. When I entered the service, adding blogs was a pain in the butt. The site referred me to another page that wouldn't load, and a refresh didn't help much either, outside the fact that most of our blogs were now entered 5 times or more. Aaaaargh !
The so called 'dashboard' still shows a message saying they're working on it, after 6 weeks. And to complete the insult, I received a message earlier today that one of the blogs was not approved. There was really one way to go with this. Kill it. So I removed the code from all of our blogs, only to find out that there is no way to delete my account, and frankly, a service performing this poorly, I really don't want to have anything to do with it.
This is just an example. The thing with Web 2.0 is, that you really have to look hard to find anything worthwhile in the ocean of crap that's out there.
Blogrush resides here. Keep your distance. It doesn't really bring noticeable traffic anyway.
