Contact Management 2.0
Filed in archive Web 2.0 on February 7, 2007
With the current Web 2.0 revolution going on, an important question emerges to the surface : How does one manage his contacts 2.0 style ?Lifehacker suggests you do it using Bigcontacts, a webbased contact manager. Me ? Call me oldfashioned, well, not that oldfashioned, but I walk around with a Treo 680 phone that holds all my contacts. The phone is sync'd almost daily to my macbook using The Missing Sync so all info is also in my macbook. I wouldn't really want it on the web somewhere - I still believe the web isn't safe enough for your private data. Fortunately Palm already understood the need of having your contacts on you at all times back in the eighties, and frankly, they're still up to date with that idea. How do you, my dear readers manage your contacts ?

I use www.octopuscity.com. It's online (I do trust keeping my info online), more importantly, free and easy to use. Plus it's tied in with an online business network.
