The site will help people find what to buy by measuring the 'buzz' surrounding products based on the number of comments, recommendations, views, edits and blog links to that product. This will give users a real idea of what thousands of users, friends, and trusted people really think. We all know that the most advertised products aren't always the best!
As you can see in the screenshot a lot of functionality has been bundled in this site. Products not yet on the website can be easily added. The site offers blogging from the site (only blogger though, hope they will add more) and links to Kelkoo and Ebay are provided that compare prices for the selected product. The site has a nice and smooth GUI that has been kept simple but works without any trouble (only tested in Firefox).
I believe this is an extra layer of functionality over Kelkoo and other sites that offer product comparing, as you automatically form a network with people that are interested in the same products - this has it's benefits as you will be able to exchange tips on other products as well as experiences.
Crowdstorm will officially launch in september.

I really like the idea behind this as it is something I do normally anyway - i.e. always ask a friend what he thinks about a digital camera I might want to buy. Looks nice and clean too.

I like the idea of finding products that my peers want but I'd rather just save money, finding good deals. www.dealighted.com is a site I use a lot these days to make sure I never overpay for anything, and wize.com is one I'm using a lot when I don't know what to buy. Finally I use www.resellerratings.com when buying from a store I've never dealt with, to check customer ratings.
