Decoding Tiny URLs

Filed in archive Web 2.0 on April 6, 2009

It was bound to happen. Everyone has looked at a shrunken URL address shortened by some service like TinyURL and wondered where they'll really end up if they click on it. Now you can tell...

LifeHacker had a piece earlier this month on the new TinyURL Decoder that will tell you the name of the domain that's hiding behind that shortened URL you're looking at. An while it works with TinyURL, it also works with Bit.ly, snurl, tiny.cc, and others - a total of 13 of the URL shrinkers out there.

You can find out more about it here.

Tiny houses... diferent from tiny URLs.
