Organizing your pictures has always been a big job – but fortunately my wife likes putting them in albums and viewing them with her friends. But now we have digital pictures. I have my camera and so does my wife. A number of images is online in several galleries I maintain, but not all. But from time to time, I review whatever's online and decide what pictures need to stay and what pictures need to go, and it's a lot of work. So how do you organize you're digital images the most efficient ? According to Lifehacker, this is what to do :
rather than letting your photo management software of choice group your images, he suggests copying them to your own folder structure manually (simple enough) (Download Squad).
Sounds like you don't really want to manage anything efficiently. Well, the tip came from another site and it looks like Lifehacker agrees with me here (or rather, I agree with Lifehacker) :
If you're keen on having total control over your file system, this is a great method of organization. If not, you're probably best off sticking to picasa or iPhoto. – Adam Pash (Lifehacker)
Exactly, Adam. You really don't want to do it by hand……
