Web2.0 Software
by S.M. Schrama on June 21, 2006

FiveRuns is a sleek, hosted web application built with the user in mind. Perfect for IT professionals using open source software such as Linux, Apache, JBoss, Tomcat, and MySQL, it also fully supports those maintaining traditional systems running Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, or Mac OS X.Five Runs supports Open Source : "We are strong supporters of open source and believe it constitutes a better way of developing and distributing software."Using Five Runs will not be free, but I was unable to find quotes on the usage. The webbased software communicates with client software you have to install, that will update itself automatically. As an administrator, this gives me the kreeps. I want to be in control of whatever piece of code gets upgraded on my systems.
