Finally, and waiting, like, forEVerrrrr, the Google Blogger platform began allowing users to import and export earlier this month.
Mark 'Rizzn' Hopkins over at Mashable has a nice piece on the change.
While the changes only allow import and export from other blogs on the Blogger platform, it's a step forward. Hopefully we'll all some be able to move things between Blogger and WordPress, Typepad, LiveJournal, etc...

For people like me who've been running their personal blogs there since the system's inception, we've all been tempted to migrate away completely, or go through our extensive archives and edit out the sections that don't necessarily fit the editorial standards the current incarnations of our blogs are at.Google says that you can now
- Merge two or more blogs into one.
- Move individual posts from blog to blog.
- Back up your blog to your own storage.
- Move your blog somewhere else.
While the changes only allow import and export from other blogs on the Blogger platform, it's a step forward. Hopefully we'll all some be able to move things between Blogger and WordPress, Typepad, LiveJournal, etc...
