Google in China
Google is trying to do good business in China, something that gets a lot of people's attention. The last news on the subject is the opening of Google Answers in China, together with Tianya Club, who has the most popular discussion forums in China. The site already has 20 million registered users, 80% of whom are 18-35 years old.

I wonder if Google will be able to maintain their position in China. On one hand, China is everything but a free country where violators are still killed - on the other hand it could potentially cost Google their reputation, although that's unlikely as Google has already become big enough not to care about what the Western world thinks of it's expansion to China. They might be careful with the answers the new site will offer people....

Another insight is here.
