I am not a gamer, but Nintendo's Wii interests me as it is supposed to be more or less active (as in real movement). The real fun of course is in the little things that develop for such systems. As Wii has an internet connection (again, more or less) you can find more and more internet related apps available for Wii. Latest addition is Google's Reader, the online rss reader.
Even though the Wii's internet capabilities are a bit limited at the moment, and by this I mean that there aren't many ways to interact with other Wii users, you can now use another of Google's online applications, the Google Reader, which is basically an online RSS reader that allows you to gather headlines and articles from various websites all in one page.(ForeverGeek)
