Google bought YouTube a couple of days ago. Predictions were that Youtube would be sued to it's death because of the existance of copyrighted material on the site. And it is happening : Timewarner sues Google/Youtube.

Some are probably laughing, saying I told you so. I believe this will go away after negotiations, but time will tell us who's right....

Why sue? YouTube is not selling these clips. It gives us the opportunity to see performances that are just sitting in vaults somewhere, rotting. People are just sharing what they've collected over the years.

Exactly. I sure don't know....Let's see what happens next. I think the whole issue around copyrights will disappear one day - it is getting impossible to maintain in this world.
