Inviteshare : a place to trade beta invitations
You have probably heard from it before: all newly released applications are beta these days. And lately, the first beta stage is for user on invitation only. For some amongst us it has become a sport to get the invitations to as many beta's a you can get - a bit similar to all those downloading all movies they can get but never watch them. Well, if you are a fanatic beta collector, I have good news for you : You can trade your invitations and get invitations you don't yet have on Inviteshare.
From a consumer perspective this idea is a great one. It's maddening not being able to get into the hot beta and see what everyone is clamoring about (it's generally a little easier when you write for a blog like Read/WriteWeb, but most people don't have that luxury - and even we get shut out of betas sometimes). From the perspective of web app owners, though, this site could be poison.()

Although I am a curious person and I write about Web 2.0 applications a lot, I dont try to get every invite that exists, I prefer to be selective. I know, that is a luxury not all of us can afford.....
