Web 2.0
by S.M. Schrama on October 16, 2006
With the number of applications and websites that are released every week, using AJAX or similar technologies, it is only logical that if security leaks exist, they get noticed. Some say a lot of web2.0 applications are vulnerable because they're created as fast as possible because of the pressure of being the first or the best.
I believe however that speed should never result in security flaws and quality means also protection and security.
First of all, it is a good sign that established companies take this seriously, second of all, security should become a point of interest for the deveoper of a site or software - we're doing webbased stuff here and if things keep on conitunig as they are now, soon we will rely on webbased software and that's where security starts playing a major role.
