iZoho readied for iPhone owners
Filed in archive Newsdesk 2.0 on July 1, 2007
The days of the cubicle are over. As the iPhone has been released in the wild, we see more and more software becoming available for it. Zoho is one of the pioneers, releasing something called iZoho : Zoho Office Suite for the iPhone. Currently it consists of 3 applications, Zoho's writer, Sheet and Show. But I think that should be sufficient for now - those are probably the most used applications anyway.
As the target platform is iPhone hardware, note taking software is not needed (builtin the phone as part of the OS). The hardware will, however bring its disadvantages into the office : there is no hardware keyboard. Everything is on-screen, making it hard to create and write documents. Therefore I can only wonder if this will be a (business) success. And there is one thing I'd like to add : I really don't think it is wise for companies to release adapted versions of their software for specific handhelds. I believe in one size fits all. But I guess iZoho will work fine on my blackberry....
Webware has a review of iZoho here.
