Jing Project : Screencasting

Jing is a program you can download to your computer, which you can use to take snaphots, or record whatever you are doing. The software integrates nicely with IM and mail, but also with Screencast.com. Jing is a product by Techsmith, the creators of Camtasia, a similar product.
As Webware's Rafe points out, the integration with Screencast is really a downside, as this service doesn't offer any free plans. In my personal opinion, I believe that this integration is a mistake and it should have been done with Youtube, as that is often the place you want to store your video. Jing could be what I have been looking for, as I have a need for a recording utiliy in order to prep people to perform certain tasks. It is great for documenting tasks and such.
