MSN Soapbox : alway behind

MSN Soapbox : alway behind

online video sharing is hot. So hot, that every company with a webportal is opening a video content site. Microsoft has never been one of the fastest with new technologies or developments. After years of iPods and a dosen competitors, they come up with their Zune player due to be released later this year. Years after MacOSX, they talk about Vista and all of it's enhanced features that are supposed to be superior. And now Microsoft opens their own Youtube clone : Soapbox. Liveside has some more details on Soapbox. After a quick peek at the features I detect no difference with all the rest – so I advice you to stay with Youtube.

Nothing to get out of bed for, I'm afraid.

The big difference between YouTube and Microsoft is financial.

YouTube is sitting on a “theoretical” mountain of money, while Microsoft’s is quite literal.

I don’t see YouTube as being the target of this venture really. Yahoo! and Google’s YouTube clones are more likely victims (and easier ones).
