MySpace moves to ban copyrighted material

Myspace must be the most used social network on our planet. All kinds of people (even elder people have found their way to Myspace, according to recent news sources) post all kinds of mateial on the site. A special section is for musicians (yours truly has a musician's account) to post some of their work and attrackt a crowd.

Myspace will announce partnership with Gracenote, a startup that will help detect and block copyrighted music from Myspace.().
Although I am not in favor of the hunt for piracy on the net (see my piece on , Youtube has made a similar announcement earlier this year, but they encourage the rightfull owner of material to allow use on Youtube. And that's a nice approach.....
