European start-up company Netvibes announced today it raised funds from several investors, including European Index Ventures, co-founder of Netscape, Marc Andreessen, founder of Kelkoo and Wikio, Pierre Chappaz, and founder of Jazztel, Ya.com and Fon, Martin Varsavsky.
Netvibes offers a customizable homepage, with news from selected sources, e-mail integration, search features and more.

Pierre Chappaz, entrepreneur in residence at Index Ventures, who also
invested personally, is joining the Netvibes board of directors. "We decided
to invest in Netvibes because it is a service that users fall in love with as
soon as they try it. It is truly changing the web experience," Chappaz
explained.
