A major benefit of the interactive web is online education. I have to say that, years ago when I checked out some online courses, it was all
crap. But the worst thing of it all was that you'd typically find this crap after searching in different search engines several times. Now there is a nice site that has a big overview of possible online education websites :

There are course offerings here from the likes of MIT, Notre Dame, and Carnegie Mellon; as well as links to free online documentaries, language classes, free software for students, reference sites, etc. (
