O'Reilly Vs. Web 2.5
Filed in archive News by S.M. Schrama on June 6, 2006
Liam Breck from Network Improv has sent and published an open letter to Tim O'Reilly concerning the possible trademarking of the term "Web 2.0". Although it seems that after the blogosphere showed was and it is clearly against this move O'Reilly considers to let the trademarking go, I think some people are still concerned. Other companies could copy O'Reilly's move and file for Service Marks too. Liam ends his letter with a remark nobody can deny :
Our creativity, I'm sure you will agree, is better spent in other endeavors.
