Plusmo - the web to go. Well, sometimes.
Filed in archive Newsdesk 2.0 by S.M. Schrama on June 28, 2006
Plusmo makes the web mobile, according to it's website.
Plusmo is a free service that lets you channel your favorite web sites to your phone.
Plusmo needs an installed application on you cellphone or PDA to work with. In essence, this is nothing more than an ordinary RSS feedreader. Besides the fact that rss readers are available for most modern cellphones, smartphones and pda's, the promise that you will have your favorite websites with you everywhere you go is not true : Plusmo only works with certain providers. I don't see the added value of Plusmo. If you're a business user you will typically have an rss reader installed already and this enables you to read all websites that have one or more feeds. I am not impressed.
