Portable Web 2.0 : Mylo

Features
The mylo is a nice and small gadget with a sliding keyboard. It's clearly built to fit in range of designer gadgets together with iPod. It's features include WIFI (yes yes !), Skype software built in, Gtalk and Yahoo! messenger, an application that creates adhoc WIFI connections, a browser (Opera) and runs Linux inside.
Handling
Mylo handles pefectly. All buttons react immediately, and you forget easily that there's a full operating system in there, although stripped. sound
quality is superb, there's lots of low frequencies in there making the sound warm and rich. The screen is even better : playing a movie is so crystal clear you can't believe your eyes.Mylo handles most websites fine - I tested several sites (se image) and although the screen is small and you have to scroll a lot, surfing goes well. You can set the device to log in all of your IM app's when WIFI is detected, so you're very, very much online on the little gadget. An application called 'What's going on' holds all of your contacts from all IM apps together in one screen, allowing you to hop from one chat to another as if the IM's were just one. The audio quality when making Skype phone calls is pefect and crisp.
I bought it out of curiosity - ready to resell as soon as I found it wasn't good enough. But after having had it for two weeks, I have decided to hold on to it. I might easily be the first one in Europe carry it around as it is not sold here.
