Although some of you might think so, I am not a wizard. So I cannot really predict what's going to happen in 2007 concerning Web 2.0 But I can make an honest guess. And so I will.

  • Web 2.0 will become even bigger in '07 than in '06. Applications will start to merge more - developers will look at usefulness more than ever.

  • The Web will go to the palm of your hand. Web 2.0 look and feel will become available for all kinds of portable devices much more than it is now.

  • Google will continue to consolidate their apps. The company will continue to be the biggest in Web 2.0 apps and grow even more.

  • Governments around the globe will continue to try and make us pay for all kinds of music for our portable players - even though they know we know it's just a money scheme

  • Platform independence will be heavily increased by the release of more and more software on the web. It will be a big win for all of us.

If I would go more into detail, you would kill me over the details I was wrong about. And that makes no sense. So yeah, in a way I kept it a bit on the vague side. Additions ? Get in touch with me or comment !! All suggestions are appreciated.
