New research says people are more swayed by online reviews than they are by their own friends.
Places like Amazon have pioneered the reader review, and its obviously taken hold. Just about every site nowadays has a place for people to voice an opinion on a product, book, movie or service. But to trust the opinions of a virtual stranger (literally) over that of someone you know? I sometimes wonder if all those reviews are true. More than that, I think people who dislike a product are more apt to review it than someone who loves it.
What do you think? Would an online review sway you more than a friend?
