Now with the help of the Google Elections Video Search gadget you can not search speeches in the YouTube Politicians channel for specific words or phrases. Arnaud Sahuguet and Ari Bezman posted to the Official Google Blog that there is now a program that transcribed the speeches uploaded to the YouTube Politicians channel into text that can be searched.
When you search for a specific words or phrases you'll be taken to the video that has that word or phrase in it. Not only that but you'll be taken to the specific point in that video. Now you'll be able to hear for yourself what someone told you was said.
