web2 social network
Latest amongst the everlasting creation of social networks is CollectiveX's Groupsites. It is a social network based on workgroups. You can create personal groups or professional or business groups, which is nice, as you would only have to login once to take part in all the groups you want to. Although that seems beneficial, it all depends on whether you find the groups of your liking on Groupsites or not. And it is no different from Ning for example, you can participate in more than one network there too with only one login.
The service offers the groups themselves some nice features: Forums, a group calendar, a file library (although with limited storage), an email broadcast manager, and an activity log not unlike the Facebook mini-feed. Groupsite navigation is simple and clear. And there are some clever touches. For example, when users are setting up their professional profiles, the system can automatically write a bio based upon questions that they answer.(Webware)

Despite all my suspicions, I decided to try it out, and I must admint, it looks and feels right. Maybe it has a chance ?

CollectiveX is here.
