Splashup : finally a serious image editor
Filed in archive Web2.0 Software by S.M. Schrama on November 6, 2007
A lot of online image editors have seen the light in the past 12 months, but none of them is any good. I tried so many and was failed so often it's incredible. But today there is something out there that really makes you feel right at home : Splashup.

Splashup : finally a serious image editor

Why is it better ? Let me tell you. First of all, no account to register. Several others work without accounts as well, but I like it anyway. Second important point is look and feel. When you open it, a new window opens that looks and feels like a local application. There are no ads, it is not "actually a website" as a lot are, but it is a true application. Most important though is the fact that it just works. No bullshit, no timewasting, upload your image and start editing. Realtime. No delays or anything like that, just work being done. Last important feature I believe makes Splashup better than others is the things you can do with it. Most online editors can do a few simple things, but Spashup can actually do everything you expect from a decent image editor.

Splashup integrates neatly with facebook, flickr and picasa.
