The Free World : Chained.

The internet is in many ways free. That is good. But I see more and more movement around licenses, (il)legal content and such. And that is not good. It will kill the free net, and the free world with it.


Licensa therefore is the enemy. Why exactly ? Because of their product : copyright registration and management service for blogs. I wonder why anyone would want to do that. All bloggers, starting or existing, share their content. That's the essence of a blog. And now that blogging isn't exclusive anymore, everybody wants to add copyrights to whatever the blog. It's this kind of thinking that will kill the free world. The day Licensa launched is a sad day. Not because the product is bad, but the purpose is evil. And new startups in this field means there's a growing market.
