Every day several applications that are built on AJAX are released. The added value of these applications is sigificant : instead of replicating existing locally installed applications, most of them are looking further into the future. If you look at Google's applications like Gmail, Google Reader (online RSS reader) and Google Page Creator (last one still in google's labs but limited available for test purposes), you'll notice that these applications are geared towards (online) publishing. Writely is an even better example : it has built-in functionality to share and collaborate documents. Are we finally going towards professionalism in IT applications ? The only thing I am waiting for is a webbased flat-text editor….

Yes Ajax is the future,I use So many Javascript libraries for ajax get to be done.jquery is the famous one.
Web2.0 is now with Jquery.Its very easy to make application with jquery.
