The future of the internet
Although this sounds like someone with a lot of power is going to announce that the internet will be fased out, this is much less dangerous:
Pew has released its analysis of how the Internet will evolve over the next 14 or so years (2020).()

For some reason, the person involved felt an urge to get ideas from SF movies. I now feel an urge to share my personal opinion about the future of the net. As I've said before, the internet will change from a thing you access from your computer to a means of communication that will be all around us, everywhere. It will integrate into our daily lives on a level we can hardly imagine, and it will greatly influence our lives. One of the first signs is Skype, and VOIP in general.

We won't be limited to looking up http docuements anymore, the internet will become a network for all kinds of devices that is freely available 24/7 to help us communicate and more. I'm not going to try and predict more details - it will take a couple of years before we see the first signs of this, so simply wait and enjoy the ride.....
