The founders of ICQ, the web's first IM client, built by mirabilis and sold to AOL years ago, have come back with something new, though not as revolutionary as ICQ once was : KnockaTV. KnockaTV is a democratic TV site. What that means ?
Knocka lets the People decide what's on TV, playing only original videos from the best web video producers in a professional TV broadcasting style.
I have seen a lot of "TV" websites emerge that last year, but I still don't get it completely. If I compare this to what I know as TV, I don't see many similarities, besides the fact we're talking about moving images. I believe the future of TV is in sites that offer shows and movies you can see on regular TV, plus added content. I don't think sites like Youtube and KnockaTV will be able to replace regular TV, but I do agree it's added value for those who like it.
I could be wrong though. So let's give it a fair chance and check it out : Knocka.tv
