Topix.com : Blogging = Journalism

I have been asked several times if blogging is the same as journalism, of a form of journalism. Well, I believe blogging is journalism of this century. Anyone can report on something that has happened, if it is close to home or not. The real catch though, is when a topic is more complicated than, say, a traffic accident in your street.

See, you can write about politics for instance, but can you bring the world unbiased news about politics ? Do you have te knowledge required to do so ?

One of my favorite newssites, Topix.net seems to think so. Anyone can become an editor on their recently aquired site Topix.com. I guess this is a step Closer to full integration of blogging and news reporting.
