In today's blogosphere, a lot of people that like travel blog about it. It's a nice way for others to keep track of where you are, see all the pictures and read your tips. But a community can also add value, and Trippert is the best example I have seen in a long time. First thing on the front page that grabbed my eyes is the list of latest travels – a smart way to attract people and show there's activity on the site. There's RSS on all kinds of newsstreams, so you can easily keep up to date from your feedreader.
The service is taking an interesting approach to social blogging, by giving article authors the option to open up their posts to other people for editing. trippert denotes posts with multiple authors with a little logo; if you're in an open post, you can simply click the Edit button to begin adding your own content. It's a little bit like a wiki.(WebWare)
In short, it's a nice and slick site. It's still a very new site, so give it some time to grow. Webware also points this out….
