Upload Anything to the Web

DivShare is a free file hosting service for everyone. No registration required!(Divshare)First thing I wonder about is why you can register with the site if you don't need to. It must be to make use of the advanced features such as track files and add your logo, which sound like you will never need them. Recently I tried out Pando. It looks like Pando and Divshare are more or less the same. The idea is cool, but there's a downside. Let me explain. Using Pando, for example, it is pretty easy to post a movieclip you recorded to your blogger account. It shows up there with a thumbnail
and some details, and your audience can click and download it. If they have Pando. And that's the catch.People who don't yet have Pando installed will be directed to install it. Once Pando's installed, the video will download automatically. (Pando)So these sites enable you to use big attachments (they integrate quite nicely with major mailprograms including Gmail) but you need the software in order to view stuff someone shared to you. That reminds me of the 80s when you needed a modem and a phoneline to dial into a bbs in order to communicate, if you catch my drift. Come on guys, yes you need the software to upload, but downloads should be publicly accessible, or you will cut out lots of people. It's pretty easy to shre files using Social Networks like Zoho, where you can publish them to download for everyone.....
