Virtual Doctors?

Just when I thought I'd heard it all, this: CNN says that a medical school in London has a facility in Second Life where students "navigate a full-service hospital where they see patients, order X-rays, consult with colleagues and make diagnoses." They describe it as "an interactive, hands-on learning experience."

So far I have developed a Second Life existence myself. I'm really busy with my first life most of the time. But the applications are obvious. There was a time when virtual world meant fantasy world. Second Life gets a lot of bad press from people like, well, me. But it obviously has its uses, too.

And evidently there's more than one hospital in Second Life, as you can see from the video below.
