With the housing market the way it is right now, I was interested to see this article that says virtual home tours are on the upswing. They're used as a way to set apart one home listing from all the others.
But do they really?
A few years ago we sold our house and our agent purposely didn't want to put too many inside photos or video up online. In her opinion (and she's one of the top sellers), virtual home tours don't bring in more people to your house. When people "view" your home online they feel as if they've seen it already, and therefore don't stop in for an open home tour.
What's your opinion of virtual home tours? Do you think it's a great marketing tool for home sellers? Or just more technology that isn't adding value?
