Where will the Web go in '07 ?
. Looking back at the Web in 2006 and combining this with current developments, they've come up with a couple of interesting points:

  • RSS will go mainstream in a big way

  • Although I like to say it has already become mainstream, I believe this is a correct prediction...

  • Widgets will continue rising in 2007

  • Possibly. I haven't seen any substantial widget in the wild yet, but I can't possibly see everything ;))

  • Web Office continues to ramp up

  • Absolutely, I think 2007 will be the year when companies decide on what they like from all that is offered.

  • Mobile Web may be the big story of 2007

  • Yes, in some ways. I think we should stop and look at the Web as it is now and put it on a mobile device - the web will become more and more a means to an end and function that way. In a couple of years you will see nobody typing www adresses anymore....

goes much further than I can and they have some really good points.
