Microsoft announced it's Live Mail will come out of beta soon. Live Mail is supposed to become the successor of Hotmail, which they've bought back in 1998. So it seems this time they're building something themselves, which is remarkable. Anyway, they seem to continue to be consistent in one thing : releasing stuff way behind the rest. These people have no idea of what's hot or not, they just look at what's hot and then try and recreate it. And usually, it's a disappointment compared to the competition, but we'll see.
The website will be built upon AJAX, creating a rich layer of features like drag 'n drop and an interface resembling Microsoft's Outlook. Apparently the beta status will be left before October 20.
