XTube : Amateur content and money

When I wrote a review of Pornotube some time ago, Lance Cassidy, Director of Sales & Marketing at Xtube made me aware of the fact that XTube opened it's doors for amateur porno before Pornotube ever did. So I decided to give them a fail shot and review XTube (not suitable for work) too. What is Xtube ?

The first adult website to offer the general public a place to share their personal and home-made adult photos and videos. We began development (by Webnovas Technologies Inc.) at the end of 2005 and launched the beta in March of 2006. We have been growing steadily since. Webnovas is a small group of programmers and design staff who have clients in and out of the adult industry.

So how is Xtube different from Pornotube ?

We also pay our Amateur members 40% revenue sharing on all content they sell through XTube.com.

Now that sounds interesting. You could actually make money by uploading your own exciting stuff. Some deny it but it is wellknown that porn is the only thing making real big money on the net. It has always been that way I my guess is it will stay that way. XTube currently has 365,249 members and is growing by approx. 6,000 per day. The site receives 100,000 unique visitors a day. One more killer app was announced on the site :
