Youtube to ad 30 seconds advertisment

According to Direct Traffic, youtube plans on adding 30 second ads to Youtube videos in 2008. It seems a logical step, as money will have to be generated in order to keep it free for users.
Google, Youtubes owner says that the revenues from the 30 second ads will be shared with the broadcaster, meaning popular videos could generate an income.
It is unclear how YouTube's users will react to adverts before the clips, but the announcement signifies the immense popularity of internet advertising and comes soon after Google's acquisition of online advertising firm DoubleClick for $3.1 billion.(Direct Traffic)
It is certainly an interesting development, that potentially allows ambitious filmfreaks to make money of their creations.
