Zapr : File sharing Web 1.0 style

Zapr : File sharing Web 1.0 style

Zapr is an application which lets you create links to any files on your PC. You can then send these links to friends (via email or IM) and they can get the files directly from your computer via their browser. It's safe and secure.

Safe ? Secure ? See this : Zapr requires Windows XP with .Net Framework 2.0. If that's secure, I must be the pope.
Besides that, how can I use it on my pc if I run something else than Windows, like Linux or so ? The initiative is good though. Lots of people look to share files. Personally I would prefer doing it through content sharing sites like Zoho and many others, but I don't have a regular computer at home – I only have laptops so I won't leave them on.
This is not Web 2.0, people. This is a wannabee project. I don't even see the use of this software, as Windows is so secure that you share all your private documents anyway without installing anything.

Come on Zapr : get real and release your app for all platforms. cross-platform is the way to do it nowadays…..

It’s not me being cross platform. I believe that any application or service that is webbased has to work on any platform. Currently it is too divided and that results in some things not being used or even disappear because of lack of interest, whil the product can be really good.
