As some of you know, Zoho is one of my favorite companies on the web. They have developed into a big player in the webbased office market, and they have been an inspiration to several others. Zoho always keeps on trying to improve. While their software has always been fine, Zoho understood the importance of single signon when they combined their applications, and today is anoter great day of understanding and development as Zoho has just released a Startpage which combines their applications in one interface.
- Users can now login to a common page from www.zoho.com directly without having to go to individual application login pages.
- 'My Documents' section integrates Documents, Spreadsheets and Presentations from Zoho Writer, Sheet and Show
- Folder Management - Ability to segregate documents into folders
- A common User Interface to Share, Tag, Export documents
- 'Zoho Apps' tab (on the right) helps you navigate to other Zoho Apps you have access to.
- 'My Contacts' section integrates your contacts (from Zoho Chat)
The Startpage is in beta, but I am confident the beta label will soon be taken off.
The great look and feel of Zoho is still here, it is fast and it reminds me most of Google Docs&Spreadsheets. I think Google has some firm competition here.
