Does a busy lifestyle affect your health?
Of course it does. Now, the folks at Zume Life out of California are testing a small, hand-held device called the Zuri to help you live a more healthy lifestyle. The Zuri helps remind folks to take their medicines at a certain time and offers a place to list reactions to treatments. People can also write down specific symptoms they are having to print off later and show to a health professional.
The Zuri is being targeted to people who are "mobile, social, and active" and will cost about $200 when its released in mid-2009. Users will also "pay about $40-$50 a month for Web services" as part of the software used to monitor the Zuri.
While I think this is a great idea, I can't help wondering if people will really use it. Will the online feature of this new technology encourage people to do what they generally don't now? That is, actually take a moment to stop their busy lives in order to properly record details of their health? Couldn't they do that now if they wanted? What's your opinion?
